China's four major school equipment production bases
School supplies are "school furniture", which means the necessary or essential tools and props needed to ensure the normal operation of the school. They are mainly distinguished from teaching aids, which are the necessary or essential tools and props that teachers need to use in the teaching process.√. School supplies mainly include:
●. Ordinary classroom equipment: student desks and chairs (stools), solid wood podiums, blackboards;
●. Laboratory classroom equipment: laboratory tables and chairs, instrument cabinets, storage cabinets;
●. Auditorium, library and canteen equipment: student chairs, conference chairs, podiums, reading tables, book shelves, newspaper racks, computer tables, dining tables and chairs;
●. Student dormitory equipment: student dormitory beds, bed iron drawers, storage cabinets.
The history of my country's school supplies industry can be traced back to the 1950s and 1960s, when education was in its infancy and the school supplies industry was relatively unpopular. However, with the rapid development of my country's economy and the increasing level of education, the school supplies industry has gradually emerged.
There are four major school furniture production bases in my country, namely Nancheng, Jiangxi, Yongkang, Zhejiang, Bazhou, Hebei, and Chengdu, Sichuan. The school furniture enterprises in these four production areas are relatively large. Of course, there are also some small school furniture manufacturers in other provinces and cities, such as Guangzhou and Foshan, but they are not large in scale.
Nancheng, Jiangxi
Nancheng County, Jiangxi is a regional school furniture industry base in the central and western regions. It is known as the "Hometown of School Furniture in China". It was approved as the "Provincial Base of School Furniture Industry" in 2012 and was awarded the title of "China School Furniture Production Base" by the China Furniture Association in 2015. Nancheng County has a history of more than 30 years of school furniture processing.
The products have developed from the original wooden desks and benches to the large-scale production of 12 modern school furniture series, and the output of school furniture accounts for more than 35% of the country. The products are mainly sold to more than 20 provinces including Anhui, Gansu, Henan, and Xinjiang. In 2022, the total output value of Nancheng's school furniture industry will exceed 20 billion yuan.
Bazhou, Hebei
The Bazhou characteristic custom furniture industry in Langfang, Hebei originated in the 1980s. After years of development, Bazhou characteristic custom furniture has become the largest furniture industry cluster in northern China, with a total of more than 4,000 enterprises, more than 10,000 patents, an annual output value of more than 50 billion yuan, and exports to more than 130 countries and regions.
Bazhou has formed a trend of strong support for the three platforms of Shengfang International Furniture Expo City, Bazhou Metal and Glass Furniture Industrial Park, a provincial industrial cluster, and Shengfang International Logistics. The products are mainly sold to northern cities such as Beijing, Hebei, Jilin, and Heilongjiang. In 2023, Langfang Bazhou City vigorously promoted the transformation and upgrading of school furniture enterprises, and provided strong support for the transformation of the school furniture industry from "manufacturing" to "smart manufacturing" by increasing investment in policies and funds.
Chengdu, Sichuan
Chengdu is one of the most important economic centers in western China, and the furniture industry is also one of the important pillar industries in Chengdu. Its industrial development history can be traced back to the 1980s, when the furniture market in Chengdu was still in its infancy, with only some small-scale markets and furniture stores. With the development of economy, Chengdu's furniture market has gradually grown and become one of the most important furniture distribution centers in western China.
It has formed a relatively complete industrial ecology including school furniture production, exhibition and sales trading center, warehousing and logistics center, and main and auxiliary materials trading and distribution center. The products are mainly sold to Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei, Guiyang, Kunming, Nanning, etc.
Zhejiang Yongkang
Yongkang is a county-level city under the administration of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is a national school furniture industry base and the school furniture production base that is most closely integrated with e-commerce. It signed a strategic agreement with Cainiao Logistics in 2015. The products are mainly sold to developed cities such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The industry has a high degree of modernization, the enterprise has a high positioning, and the profit and tax are high.
