Data shows that against the backdrop of slow growth in commodity trade in most parts of the world this year, the flow of Chinese goods into Mexico has grown rapidly. After a year-on-year increase of nearly 35% last year, the number of containers shipped from China to Mexico soared 60% in January this year. This move is considered by industry analysts to be one of the strongest phenomena in global trade growth.

Santiago Toledo, Commercial Counselor of the Mexican Embassy in China, said that China has become Mexico's second largest trading partner in the world, and the total trade volume between China and Mexico in 2022 reached 130 billion US dollars, a record high. He also pointed out that in the past 20 years, Chinese companies have invested as much as 2.16 billion US dollars in Mexico, and he believes that the growth momentum in the future will be better.
