According to the main products produced, China's stone industry clusters can be divided into three types: marble and granite decorative stones, stone carvings, and slates. Most of the stone industry clusters such as Shuitou, Laizhou, and Yunfu mainly produce marble and granite decorative stones, Hui'an and Quyang mainly produce stone carvings, and Yixian and Ziyang mainly produce slates.
Fujian Stone Industry Cluster
As China's largest stone production province, Fujian has more than 10,000 stone companies, more than 5,000 stone import and export trading companies and multiple stone industry clusters. The plate production capacity exceeds 100 million square meters. Among them, the large-scale stone clusters include Nan'an City, Hui'an County, Anxi County, Jinjiang City, etc. under Quanzhou City, Fuding City under Ningde City, Luoyuan County under Fuzhou City, and Xiamen City, etc. Among them, Quanzhou City is the stone industry center of Fujian Province, and Shuitou Town and Hui'an County under Quanzhou City have become the most influential stone industry clusters.
Fujian's stone exports have long been ranked first in the country, with an export volume of nearly half of the country. As the largest port for stone import and export in China, Xiamen Port ranks first in the world in stone import and export volume. Nan'an City has become China's largest and most comprehensive stone production and export base. Nan'an City has a stone processing capacity of more than 50 million square meters and has more than half of the market share in Fujian Province.
Guangdong Yunfu
Guangdong Yunfu is one of the main production bases of granite and marble in China, and is famous for its processing of imported rough stones. The annual output of Yunfu stone is about 15 million square meters. It is also the second largest stone export base in China. The total output value of Yunfu stone industry accounts for 20% of the city's GDP. At present, it has formed 13 series, 23 categories and more than 1,000 varieties of marble, granite, reconstituted stone decorative panels, stone furniture, stone crafts, etc. It is the largest stone product distribution center in South China. In 2003, it was rated as "China Stone Base Center" and "China Stone Distribution Demonstration Base".
Among them, Guangdong Yunfu stone is dominated by marble and jade, and panels are the main ones.
Shandong Laizhou
Laizhou currently has more than 2,200 stone companies, and the output value of Laizhou stone industry accounts for 18% of the city's GDP. Laizhou has rich stone reserves, a wide variety of varieties, and excellent quality. It mainly produces more than 20 stone varieties, mainly granite. Among them, Xiaqiu Town is the most important gathering area of Laizhou City's stone industry, and its products cover more than 100 varieties such as marble and granite.
Laizhou is known as the "Stone Capital of China".
Baoxing, Sichuan
Baoxing County is located in the north of Ya'an City. It has more than 30 precious stone varieties, mainly granite, such as "Baoxing White", "Blue and White", "Blue and White Gray" marble and "China Green", "Baoxing Black Crystal", "Cauliflower Yellow", "Emerald Green", etc., with rich reserves. "Baoxing White" is famous for its rich reserves, flawless white, fine texture, strong bending resistance, high hardness, and high yield rate. It shares the reputation of "the best white in the world" with Italy's "Carrara White". In recent years, the stone industry has developed into a pillar industry in Baoxing.
Tongshan, Hubei
Stone is one of the most distinctive and important industries in Tongshan County, with an annual mining of 150,000 cubic meters of rough materials and about 7 million square meters of various processed plates. Tongshan County has the title of "China's Marble Hometown".
Hezhou, Guangxi
The white marble in Hezhou is favored by consumers everywhere for its whiteness, crystal clearness and radiation-free advantages, namely "Hezhou White". Hezhou has rich marble reserves, and the marble varieties include white, grayish white, yellowish white, grayish black, black and other types, among which the white type occupies the main position, accounting for about 76% of the total marble reserves.
Nanzhao, Henan
Nanzhao County has many mineral products and large reserves, including more than 20 varieties such as marble and granite, among which marble has huge reserves. The products are mainly marble slabs, stone furniture, carvings, and tombstones.
Pingshan, Hebei
Pingshan County has 28 varieties of marble and granite, and 16 varieties have been developed with rich reserves. Among them, Evergreen, Pingshan Black, Tortoise Shell Jade, Five-Colored Stone, Baipo Yellow, Forest Green, Pingshan Green, and Grass White Jade are the eight major stone varieties, especially the Five-Colored Stone and Grass White Jade have large reserves. Pingshan County was awarded the honorary title of "China's Stone Town".
Pingyi, Shandong
Pingyi County, the "Hometown of Chinese Stone", is one of the three major stone distribution centers in Shandong Province and the largest imported stone processing base in Jiangbei, China. It is also one of the main granite production areas in China.
Cenxi, Guangxi
Cenxi City, Guangxi is rich in granite resources. It produces more than 200,000 cubic meters of granite rough materials annually, with an annual output value of 1.7 billion yuan, and is known as the "Granite Capital of China".
