In the first eight months of this year, the total value of foreign trade in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province reached 444.06 billion yuan.

In the first eight months of this year, the total import and export value of Yiwu, Zhejiang Province was 444.06 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), a year-on-year increase of 17.2%; among them, exports were 393.58 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%; imports were 50.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%.

"I mainly do commodity export trade in Yiwu. This year is my 10th year working here." Li Shuai, an Afghan buyer who started a business in Yiwu, said that in recent years, he has noticed that Chinese products are becoming more and more well-known overseas, which has led to his business getting better and better, and more and more orders.

Data shows that in the first eight months of this year, Yiwu's imports and exports to Africa, Latin America, the United States and ASEAN were 81.22 billion yuan, 75.30 billion yuan, 58.04 billion yuan and 42.37 billion yuan, respectively, up 17.3%, 27.0%, 32.9% and 27.6% year-on-year; imports and exports to India and Saudi Arabia were 21.26 billion yuan and 10.48 billion yuan, up 14.9% and 9.6% year-on-year; imports and exports to countries participating in the construction of the "Belt and Road" totaled 274.97 billion yuan, up 18.8% year-on-year, accounting for 61.9% of Yiwu's total imports and exports during the same period.

During the same period, Yiwu exported 11.03 billion yuan of household appliances, up 42.2% year-on-year; exported 4.94 billion yuan of auto parts, up 30.8% year-on-year. Exports of sports goods and equipment were 6.67 billion yuan, up 31.2% year-on-year; imports of beauty cosmetics and toiletries were 5.19 billion yuan, up 32.8% year-on-year.

Overall, in the first eight months of this year, Yiwu exported 316.33 billion yuan through market procurement trade, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%; and imported and exported 101.49 billion yuan through general trade, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%.
